Pr. Tewodros Ngussie

My name is Tewodros Negussie. I am a minister in the Full Gospel Believers Church at Haya Hulet. I was involved in teaching the Word and leading the church. I have a degree in Theology from Global University and a master’s degree in Leadership from Vision International University. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate at Vision International University.
I have been in full-time ministry for the last 13 years and 26 years in the house of the Lord. I have gone through this first part of the commentary on the Book of Hebrews. I would like to say first, may God bless our brother Adiamseged for presenting this commentary which is a blessing to the church and to our country. It is a blessing in this age and a great privilege to be able to write a such in-depth commentary on a book of the bible. I have seen that it can be passed down through generations in the church and bless many people.
Here is what I have observed while reading this book. We have seen other great commentaries while we were in school, for example, Matthew Henry, James Hook, and others. This commentary by Adiamseged is no less valuable than those. This is great work. For example, the first part of the commentary goes into great depth and detail on the first four chapters of Hebrews, devoting over 450 pages just to explaining them. It dwells on many keywords exploring their original Greek roots and shedding fresh light on what they mean. It presents to readers detailed background on the times the Book of Hebrews was written, providing context for understanding its themes. In those days believers had paid a great price for their faith. Many were persecuted and put to death while some compromised and became lukewarm. The book shows how some of those people had set their eyes on the reward beyond the times of suffering just as Jesus also did.
I have seen that this commentary presents three major themes. Theologically, the book sets out to show the identity of Jesus not only in the flesh but also, as in chapter one for example, in His divine nature glorified position at the right hand of the Father. It will be a valuable reference book for teaching Christology.
