Pastor Fisseha Feysa

My name is Pastor Fisseha Feysa. I am a teacher at Addis Ababa Bible College. I am also currently leading the college’s post-graduate program. In addition, I assist the senior pastor of Ethiopian Assemblies of God Church coordinating the department of education along with brothers and sisters. Therefore, my ministry has to do mostly with teaching and preaching.
As a teacher in a bible college, I have found this commentary by our brother Adiamseged a very lovely work. As a teacher and a coordinator in the postgraduate program of our college, I have read a lot of books on the letter to the Hebrews. For example, there is a book titled, Exegesis of the Letter of Hebrews, which I was reading when I was a post-graduate student. There is another book that we use for teaching in the college. It is called A Study in the Books of Hebrews. It was written by Terri Petit and George W. Barton. Another worthy book on the letter to the Hebrews is the one written by Donald. We use these three books in this college for both first-degree and second-degree classes. They deal with the Books of Hebrews in depth and detail.
I was asked to read and comment on the first volume of Adiamseged’s commentary on the Book of Hebrews. Our brother has written over 560 pages in the first volume alone. It is lovely to work. The Book of Hebrews is striking in its presentation of truth as well as its method of reasoning and literary style. It is a book that explains Old Testament mysteries and shows how type meets antitype. How did our brother Adiamseged present these issues in his commentary? How did he see the consistency of doctrine, literary style, and strength of reasoning in the Book of Hebrews? I was able to see that our brother gave himself to deep study while working on his commentary. Although I did not see the books I mentioned earlier in the reference list, I was convinced that our brother had really worked hard at his studies when I saw the number of books in the bibliography.
Although I did not go through the book in its entirety, I have seen that he has written it in clear simple language. It is well-edited and has a smooth flow of ideas. Some books will still have errors and typos even after being edited but I have not seen such errors in this commentary. It has been written with great care and bound in a beautiful hardcover.
The writer did not go into complicated theological issues and I am pleased with that because it would not be necessary. Rather, he has focused on sound theological topics. Therefore anyone who buys this book and reads it or people in the church who use it will benefit a lot from it especially in bible study because the letter to the Hebrews is beautifully explained in this book.
God bless our brother Adiamseged for writing this book. I believe God will bless anyone who will read this book. The letter to the Hebrews is one of the most beautiful books in the bible and is written in a beautiful way. And our brother Adiamseged has presented it to us in a simple, beautifully written commentary. I am truly pleased with his work.
